Alpacas

While we were going down this country road in Horseshoe, Texas, (Central part of the state) we came upon an Alpaca Ranch called Long Neck Acres. We stopped to admire the beautiful Alpacas. The alpaca is a member of the camelid family, which includes the camel as well as the alpaca’s closer South American relative – the llama. They are used for there wonderful fleece which is very soft. These particular alpacas are called huacaya (wa-ki-a) who have a more fluffy fiber with a lot of crimp

  2. I would have loved to take one home, they are soooooo cute and so very expensive as well. Guess all I can do it take their photos.
